About Amy West:

  ​Born and raised in the Valley of the Phoenix, Arizona, Amy grew up in a very artistic family that nurtured and cherished her fun and imaginative spirit.  She attributes a lot of her style to her mother and the many influences of the environment in which she grew up.

“Fantasy,’ she says, ‘has always been a big part of my life. Whether my sisters and I were soaring through the cloud, dodging enemy arrows, aback our winged steeds (when really we were on the swing set) or we were on long searches for bandits who’d made off with the towns money all the while being stalked by mountain lions or wolves (when really we were just horseback riding with a group of friends in the Superstition Mountains.) The point of using your imagination isn’t to make, sell and someday become rich and famous. The real reason anyone fantasizes about grand adventures (especially as a child) is to transport not only themselves but those whom they love to magical places where you can be free to create your own story.”

Amy now lives in Amarillo, Texas with her Husband, four-legged children, and partner-in-crime. When she isnt working on her web-comic, training dogs, teaching art classes, or elbow deep in paint and wall paper paste she enjoys frequent visits to near by Palo Duro Canyon and the challenge of trying to grow a prosperous garden in caliche clay!
